What We Do
Corder Solutions operates across four interconnected areas: finance systems, processes and controls, reporting and decision support, and fractional finance leadership. These areas are intentionally linked, because the challenges organizations face rarely live in only one place.
We align systems, processes, and reporting so leadership can rely on the financial information in front of them. When finance architecture is clear and disciplined, decisions move faster and risk is reduced. There is no fixed menu of services because no two organizations start from the same place.
Every engagement begins with conversation. We start by understanding what the organization is dealing with, what outcomes matter, and what constraints are real. From there, we define scope and sequence. The sections below describe the work we do and the problems we solve.
Finance Systems & ERP
Finance systems and ERP platforms form the foundation of financial reporting, operational visibility, and internal control. As organizations grow and evolve, that foundation must remain aligned with process, structure, and leadership needs.
Corder Solutions brings experience in the design, implementation, migration, and optimization of financial systems across multiple ERP and accounting platforms. We work with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics 365, and other finance systems, along with adjacent finance and reporting platforms that integrate into the core environment. Our experience spans organizations ranging from mid-sized operations to multi-billion dollar capital projects with complex multi-entity, multi-currency, and compliance requirements.
Examples of the work in this area:
-
SAP S/4HANA migrations: planning, data validation, process redesign, testing, and reporting continuity through cutover
-
ERP implementation support: finance module design, chart of accounts structure, cost center and profit center frameworks, and integration with adjacent systems
-
SAP Concur implementation and administration: travel and expense process design, policy configuration, and ERP integration
-
System assessment and optimization: evaluating what an existing ERP is and is not delivering, and aligning the system with what the business actually needs
-
Reporting architecture: building data structures and output formats that give leadership a reliable and consistent view of financial performance
-
Automation and workflow design: using Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint to reduce manual effort and improve process reliability around the core ERP
Platforms we work with: SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Concur, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics 365, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Excel.
Process Optimization & Internal Controls
Process structure and internal controls determine whether financial systems consistently produce reliable information. As organizations grow, those processes must be intentionally designed, documented, and aligned with operational reality.
Technology supports disciplined processes. When process structure, ownership, and control design are clear, systems generate reliable data and leadership confidence. Controls embedded within day-to-day operations create transparency, accountability, and consistency across the organization.
This work sits at the intersection of operations, finance, and governance. We assess how work is performed and design the process structure and control framework required to support operational excellence. The result is a finance function that operates with clarity, repeatability, and audit readiness.
Examples of the work in this area:
-
End-to-end process mapping and redesign: accounts payable, financial close, cost reporting, treasury, procurement, and expense management
-
Internal controls design and implementation: control frameworks that reduce risk and improve transparency without unnecessary complexity
-
Month-end and period-end close optimization: structuring the close process to be faster, more consistent, and repeatable
-
Compliance support: supporting external auditors, shareholder auditors, and government auditors with the documentation, data, and process evidence auditors need
-
Policy and procedure development: translating operating standards into practical documentation that teams can follow
-
Governance structure design: defining ownership, accountability, and escalation paths for finance and operational processes
Reference point: Process redesign work on accounts payable, cost reporting, and financial close at Angola LNG achieved 50 to 60 percent reductions in processing time. At Peru LNG, SAP-based purchasing and controls implementation reduced expense report processing time by 75 percent.
Reporting & Decision Support
Financial reporting and decision support determine how effectively leadership can see and manage the business. For reporting to be useful, it must be grounded in reliable data, structured for clarity, and aligned with how the organization actually operates.
Effective reporting begins with understanding what leadership needs to see to guide performance and allocate resources. That clarity informs how data is structured, how metrics are defined, and how information is presented. Corder Solutions designs reporting structures, dashboards, and performance management tools that translate reliable data into consistent visibility and informed decision-making.
Examples of the work in this area:
-
Financial reporting redesign: restructuring reports so they reflect actual business performance and management priorities
-
Executive dashboards and scorecards: designing management views that provide the right metrics at the appropriate level of detail
-
Power BI development: building interactive reporting and data visualization tools connected to ERP and operational data sources
-
Cash flow visibility and forecasting: developing models and reporting cadence that provide forward-looking financial insight
-
Finance and Planning department performance management: department scorecards, workload tracking, and operational metrics for the finance function
-
Ad-hoc analysis and decision support: working alongside leadership on financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven evaluation of strategic questions
Fractional Finance Leadership
Organizations periodically require senior finance leadership at the Controller, CFO, or Finance and Planning Director level. In some cases, that need is ongoing but not full time. In others, it arises during transitions, vacancies, growth phases, or complex initiatives.
Effective finance leadership provides operational oversight, decision support, and accountability at the appropriate level of authority. When embedded within the organization, senior finance leadership ensures reporting discipline, process consistency, and alignment between financial strategy and day-to-day operations. Corder Solutions provides fractional and interim finance leadership in roles that require both strategic perspective and hands-on execution.
Examples of the work in this area:
-
Fractional Controller and CFO services: senior financial oversight, reporting, and decision support on a part-time or project basis
-
Interim finance leadership: covering critical roles during transitions, vacancies, or periods of organizational change
-
Finance department assessment: evaluating the structure, capabilities, and performance of an existing finance team and identifying gaps
-
Finance function build-out: designing and standing up a finance operation for organizations growing into greater structural complexity
-
Audit and compliance leadership: managing relationships with external, shareholder, and government auditors and ensuring the organization is prepared and responsive
How Engagements Work
Every engagement begins with a conversation. Before defining scope, we seek to understand what the organization is dealing with and what outcomes matter most.
From that discussion, we establish a clear scope: what we are setting out to accomplish, how progress will be measured, and what the engagement will and will not include. We do not define scope before understanding the problem, and we do not commit to work we cannot execute.
Once engaged, we work inside the organization alongside the finance team, the IT team, and the operational leaders responsible for the processes and systems involved. Our role combines advisory perspective with hands-on execution, remaining engaged for as long as the work requires.
Every engagement concludes with capability that remains within the organization: documentation, trained personnel, and systems that can be operated independently going forward. Building organizational capability is integrated into each phase of the engagement. Operational excellence becomes sustainable when the people responsible for carrying it forward are equipped to do so.
